Laura Slater for Harvey Nichols (with The Hepworth Wakefield)

I have been working over the past few months on preparing my 'Architextiles' collection to be installed in the Harvey Nichols Leeds store fourth floor cafe.

This was an fantastic opportunity given to me by both Harvey Nichols and The Hepworth Wakefield.

Here are some photographs documenting the install this week, with many thanks to Andy Berrington and his visuals team at Harvey Nichols.

Exhibition is on from December to Feb 2012.

//TILES/COLOUR/PATTERN/DENIM/ORANGE/TESSELLATION/SHADOW//

My recent trip to Brighton took me back to a now very old project I started during my MA at the RCA based around the tile work, pattern and colours of the underground.

This time I found an amazing colour-way coupled with the sun in a disused subway on the beach front.

Another great show, thankyou to all that came down to visit.

The Print Project

Working on re-branding my logo with the wonderful people at The Archipelago studio in Saltaire has also resulted in working with the equally wonderful people at The Print Project.

The print project are a studio (based at the legendary 1 in 12 club in Bradford) after my own heart, striving to keep alive the traditional letterpress printing technique.

Here are a few snaps of my new business cards, letterpress printed onto unusually thick cairn board.

All hail hand printing!
