LOOKING, THINKING, MAKING

Having spent the last few months preparing for shows, producing, marketing, photographing, promoting, it has become really clear that the creative thought process, ideas and LOOKING have taken a back seat.

I need to remind myself in all the organisation (and being a printing machine) that I need to put time aside for my creative development, the thing that made me want to do this in the first place.

It was refreshing today to see when pulling together all the half-thoughts and small experimentation over a year of being busy, being busy that it did actually all add up to something relatively coherent.

Here are a few starting points of what is to come.

//BLOCKS/MUTED/GEOMETRIC/FADED/WOODEN//

I love the beautiful muted colours of these french children's counting blocks. I think it's because of the nature of the colouration onto wood. How can I create more muted colour onto fabric?

//COLOUR/PROPORTION/BLOCK/MUTED//

Starting to develop new colour ways and proporation. How can I add in new colourways to my print collections with out making the previous ones exempt?

//REMINDER//

With a reminder to remind myself to look, think and make.
